Welcome

Welcome to CSI Toledo, the Toledo, Ohio Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. The members of the organization comprise a cross section of individuals involved in creating and sustaining the built environment. Currently our chapter’s membership includes those who work for companies involved in architecture and engineering, construction, manufacturing of construction-related products, building management and educational institutions in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

This Chapter meets to network and to exchange information and ideas that help us succeed in our chosen roles. We make use of the work the Nation Organization has done and is doing to develop a shared language that everyone involved with the built environment can use to process, interpret and communicate information. This includes some exciting advancements in BIM (building information management), Omniclass (overall construction classification system) which Masterformat 2004 is a part and now the GreenFormat.

We currently offer an on-going opportunity t become involved with our organization each month, CSI Morning Feed. The interactive discussion group contemplates various topics that impact the construction industry. Most of these are global issues for which we share perspectives and theorize on where we are going or how we can develop a conscientious. You can review a synopsis from selected morning feed meetings. We also have other events of interest including tours of local buildings under construction. Check the upcoming events page to see the schedule of other opportunities.

Please download the schedules for the CSI Morning Feed, mark your calendar and join us for a lively informative meeting. The current officers and I welcome your input, encourage your participation and look forward to meeting you at a future meeting.
